Low Testosterone and Varicocele

I recently discovered that I have primary hyogonadism due to varicoceles affecting both testicals. My doctor has noted that both testicals have athropied slightly. I'm considering corrective surgery to raise my testosterone levels, which are very low. Has anyone had experience with this? Before and after T levels?
