Varicocele

during diagnosis,confirmed that I have left Varicocele The size measures about 7.3mm(Not Big).It is not painful every time, but last week i had a pain. The only way is to operate and remove it.I am getting marry in another 3 months and just want to check,if operation is advisable.Docotor suggested not to go for removing it, unless it bothers me.But when i started thinking about this, i feel pain some times.please advise me if it recomends me to get operated.

Honestly, judge the pain you are in and ask yourself can I live with this till after the wedding? If not go in and have the operation. But if you decide to do this, do it microsurgically, and sub-inguinally. I had mine done with traditional inguinal, and I still have pain around the incision (which is not small) and my testicle is still not 100%. Ask you doctor a million questions, besatisfied with his answers and go from there. HE works for you, so make him work. If the varicocele is large you need to know it can affect your ferility. Make sure there has been no testicular atrophy and got some blood tests to check your testosterone level.These are things your urologist should be bringing up, if he isn't seek a second opinion. You get one body, best to treat it with the utmost seriousness. I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. Actaually i want to get it removed before marriage.i will meet again the dcotor and get the inputs abouts the fertility factor after the surgey and the conditon of the testicals.Still i don't konw i am in a confuse mode, whether to go with operation or not.

OPERATE...OPERATE...OPERATE!!!! I can't stress it enough. My husband is suffering from infertillity due to not operating/identifying the problem early enough. I didn't read if you've had a SA but you should have one to see if it's affected your fertility. my husband had the op...but the results have been devistating. Good luck
