I have had varicosele as long as I can remember. I am 43 now and just had a vasectomy 8 days ago. It seems like since then my varicocel has gotten worse. It has swolen up and now feels like I am dragging a rock around. BTW My nut on the left side (the varicecele side has always been bigger) when the doc performed the vasectomy he showed me that the tube on that side was also bigger (presumably moving more sperm). It has been 9 days. I will let it go abother week. If the pain persists I will go back to the Urologist

You could have a hematoma (collection of blood) on that side. I would call your doctor and let him/her know.
