would surgery fix infertility?im 39 years old and have been diagnosed with varicocele we already have a child but couldnt conceive another one for the last 3 years. some doctors suggest surgery but some say at my age it wont make a difference as far as infertility is concerned.a bit confused and would be nice to get some advice!
Re: would surgery fix infertility? My Dh had the surgery almost 6 months ago. We weren't able to conceive after 1 year of trying. He was operated in October. We went for our 3 month SA and the results were devistating. It's as if he had no sperm whatsoever. Before the operation he had 1.5 million now 500,000. We are devistated. My DH is to go back next month and have the second SA and we are hoping/praying for better results. The 6 month analysis is supposed to tell us how everything will progress.
Re: would surgery fix infertility? We are in a very similar situation, husband 38 and have one child but unable to conceive again for four years now. He was diagnosed with a varicocele recently and i am wondering if recommended surgery will help us. Did you have the surgery and if so how is it working for you? Has this surgery worked for anyone else??
