how long does it take for a reversal to work? Can someone please help me. My husband had a vasectomy reversal in July 08 and to this day we are still no sperm. We were told after surgery that we should have no problems and would probably be 2-3 months. 9 months still nothing but heartache, me crying and my husband not knowing what to say upset feeling like its all his fault. Do I need to start facing the fact that maybe I will never have a baby with a guy that I have waited all my life for, that I will never know what it feels like to have a baby grow inside and look forward to giving birth and to hear that child call me mom. Something that a girl dreams of all her life. Is there still hope? Would appreciate any advice.
Signed sad and confused.
Re: how long does it take for a reversal to work?Hi there. It's been a while since you posted your sorrow on-line, so who knows, maybe you have conceived by now, smile.
But if not, there is no medical advice anyone could give you excpet for a doctor of course, but since you don't know if you can conceive, maybe it's worth looking into if your body is able to get pregnant, and maybe there are other factors contributing to infertility? If not, there are a lot of other faithful ways to get pregnant, so you and your hubby can enjoy raising children. Or maybe there are other options for your husband to get looked at again. Maybe there is a blockage or something that could be fixed. I'm sure you are beyond frustrated, but just the thought that your husband went through it for you guys, is a special way of him saying he wants the same thing you do. So sometimes those things that frustrate you, may be frustrating him, and I would use those things to pull together, rather than letting it get you both upset. Just some heart felt suggestions. I feel for you and wish you both all the best. I know you want to feel that baby grow inside you, and there are ways to have that happen, so don't give up. Plus there is always adoption, which is the next best thing, and the best thing for children waiting for a good home. Best of wishes. God Bless
