Scheduled Consult for Vase Reversal

Post a new topicby Angela2007 on Mon Dec 10, 2007 5:29 pm

Hello everyone, this is my first time here. My husband Adam had a vasetomy Dec 6, 2001 after our daughter was born. He has a son by a previous marriage but we only have the one daughter. I love my stepson and daughter both and I'm blessed to have them. I just always wanted another baby. He did a implusive thing when he had his vasectomy It hurt me then and its hurt for years. We've talked about having it reversed several times and he's always been against it. Finally, he's decided to go ahead with the reversal so we can hopefully have another baby. Our consult is this Friday with a dr here in our town. They have a very high success rate and I'm very optimistic. I do have some questions about the surgery. Recovery time. Etc. I know our dr says its outpatient and he'll come home that night. Typically, how long are u off work with this type of surgery? He works at a factory and routinely lifts up to 75 pounds. We're trying to figure out the window of how many vacation nights he might need.
Thanks for any tips!!!

My husband has a very manual job and he was off work 3 weeks then went back to work and got help to lift for a further week. He heeled quickly and had no problems though.

I wish you well. 14 months after reversal 'we' got pregnant and have a baby girl who is now 1 year old. Don't hesitate get on with it!
