Vasectomy Reversal

Hello everyone im 23 and my partner is 44 he had a vasectomy 11 years ago after him and his x wife had their third child. We have now been together 2 years and want to get it reversed and after no help from our GP we just seem to be going around in circles, our GP basically told us its a waste of money as he had his original vasectomy such a long time ago.

Please help im finding it all so hard i seem to search and search on the internet and get no where as its all so expensive.

Our Gp wrote to a consultant at local hospital who worked at a private hospital as well. We ended up having the procedure done at a Nuffield HOSP. COST £2,050. INCLUDING OVER NIGHT STAY.

Forgot 2 to mention that my hubby had his vascectomy eleven years before. We had concieved a baby 14 months after reversal. So go for it girl!!!! Never to late.

congratulations. Thats fantastic news. Im so happy for u. Its nice to her some possative news as alot is negative.
I ve been researching all clinics and hospitals and nuffield in Glasgow is the one we have chosen, Is that the one u want to? That must be a good sign if it is, us picking one u ve suggested?!? he he
Its all i think about im driving my partner mad, we cant save up quick enough. Its so scary to think that after the op is still might not even work......then what.

We went to the Hereford Nuffield Hospital. Excellent surgeon. ( Just ask consultant his success rates, he wont mind you asking) The other thing is go borrrow the money!!!!! You need to get on with it!!!!! We put it on a credit card for 5 months, not normally something we would do, cus apart from the mortgage we dont have anything on credit. But we Needed to get the surgury done while my husband's work place was shut down over the xmas and new year holidays. He had it done on th 15th December booked a weeks hoiday then had the two weeks shut down as well. We did this cus we didn't want anybody to know he had it done. Can you imagine the pressure of everybody knowing and them keep asking any luck yet! Mind you when i did get pregnant we had a few funny looks cus they all knew he had a vascectomy eleven years before. Just as well we don't have a milkman!!!!!

Hello, I'm 30 and my husband 54, he had the Vasectomy reversal done in March 2007. So it's now been 17 months and still nothing. He had the Vasectomy done about 15 years before. I would please like to know, is there any special tests that has to be done after and does prosedures like inplanting really work?

I would appreciate any posts.
